Council challenger John Baker, an airline pilot, seems like the only candidate fussing for cleaner air.

Reasonable, Rational, and Respectful

I am very concerned with the direction of our city leadership.  Last year Money Magazine named Keller one of the 50 "best cities" in America.  But in the last few months, we have been embarrassed by articles and editorials in the Star-Telegram criticizing city council decisions and actions (See 'Clean Air).

Public debate on ethics violations by a council member and a flood of staff resignations guarantee no more "Top 50" lists in Keller's future. (Nov/Dec 2007)  This council voted "no" to a policy to promote cleaner air in North Texas, thereby risking millions of dollars for future streets and infrastructure but performed a major flip flop after criticism from the media and neighboring cities.  (Jan/Feb 2008)

  • I would work for a council that is reasonable, rational and respectful to everyone:  our citizens, city staff, present and future businesses, KISD and neighboring cities.
  • I would work for a positive community where we work together to build a better Keller.
